Death is a tragedy, but also a natural phenomenon that we have learned to embrace. However an abrubt death, whether due to an accident or an illness, is something we, as a species, will never be prepared to bear with. In our line of work such cases of sudden and tragic deaths are also commonplace.

In a recent case, we were tasked with the repatriation of a couple who has sadly passed away in a horrible accident which left both of their bodies unrecognizable. In addition to the awfullness of their passing, and the emotional burden it placed on their family, this case also brought unique challenges, as it was deemed a forensic case and the bodies could not be identified. After a long period of bureucratic correspondence, during which Antlink acted as a mediator for all parties, the issue was finally resolved and the repatriation tookplace.

We have no doubt that this event will forever ache in the hearts of the family, but we are glad that at least their pain was partially soothed when they have finally gave a proper farewell to their beloved.
